what were your RESPONSIBILITIES as an intern?

I worked alongside audit teams to help during walkthroughs, evidence collection and organization, and controls testing. I was able to go on client calls on a daily basis and communicate any needs from the audit staff and get real client facing experience.

What was your favorite/most memorable part of your internship

My office made a soccer team and I got to play soccer with my coworkers every week. It was such a fun way to get to know one another outside of the office and build a stronger team!

Walk us through a day in the life of your internship?

Most days, I would get into the office in the morning and immediately check my schedule to see what calls I was joining and what meetings I had throughout the day. I would then immediately reach out to the staff that I was working with on that client, and see what tasks I could do for the day. Throughout the day I would work on completing my assignments, periodically checking in with my progress and any questions that came up during the process. Most days, I would get lunch with my other interns or have a coffee chat with a staff member at some point. This was a great way to get to know one another and to create connections with professionals!
