what were your RESPONSIBILITIES as an intern?

As an intern I support my client engagement team on various parts of our engagement. I am able to watch IT Application Control Reliance Walkthrough’s hosted by my client and take notes that support our IT audit procedures. Additionally, I have been able to sign off on work papers I compared to prior period evidence.

What was your favorite/most memorable part of your internship

We traveled to Hoboken for our training and I was able to meet so many other interns. It is the best knowing everyone is in the same position and we can relate on the process of being an intern at such a big company.

Walk us through a day in the life of your internship?

A typical day includes getting to the 1 Manhattan West office and signing on by letting my team know that I am available and ready to be assigned my daily tasks. I typically meet with my senior manager where she discusses my agenda for the day, whether that’s ITAC Reliance Walkthrough’s or looking through prior year evidence. Each day is unique but I always make sure I take time for lunch with fellow interns. We like to walk to a local restaurant and eat on the rooftop of our office. After lunch I am back to reliance calls and work paper reviews. These can get repetitive so I like to take breaks to chat with my counselor or peer buddy. Before I know it, it is 5 PM and time for me to head home and do it all over again tomorrow!
