what were your RESPONSIBILITIES as an intern?

I supported two Financial Advisors in growing their client base. I conducted market and stock research and prepared materials for client meetings. I also worked with the corporate cash team to bring in clients and helped schedule and organize meetings with prospective clients.

What was your favorite/most memorable part of your internship

My favorite part of my internship was listening in on client calls. It was interesting to hear how advisors built trust with their clients, explained market trends, pitched stock ideas, and tailored strategies to each client’s needs. I learned how conversations with companies about managing corporate cash were different from meetings with individual clients, and I got to see how both sides of the business worked together!

Walk us through a day in the life of your internship?

I woke up at 6:30 AM, drove to work, and worked out at the gym in the office. I started work at 9:00 beginning by reading up on the markets and researching stocks. I worked with the corporate cash team, so many days I joined calls with companies to discuss how they could manage liquidity and allocate large cash balances. I also helped the advisors with business development, spotting potential new clients, preparing emails for outreach, and setting up meetings with both individuals and companies. In the afternoon, I spent time organizing research, following up with clients by email or phone, and preparing for the next day. I left the office at around 5:00, drove home, and usually hung out with friends at night.
